****This post is another in my continuing series of half-baked thoughts.****
I currently happen to serve on some dysfunctional committees at work.
Given that I have to attend meetings, is there something useful that I can get out of them?
- watching people interact?
- see how people think?
- demonstrate appropriate communication style?

"Never get in the way of an idiot making a fool of themselves." This is my game in meetings. Just sit back and enjoy the show! I gave up on meaningful comments or role modeling good communication. Actually, I gave up on all of it because I quit the committee. This was all before that. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is sort of a last-ditch effort to turn a terrible situation into a bearable one. On the bright side, this committee will now be meeting during my office hours so my current plan is to meet at the beginning and then leave 15 minutes in to "meet with a student".
